San Francisco Day,2nd Spetember 2006

ok so, i was suppose to write this last 1 and a half weeks ago... but guess wat?
i was too freaking lazy, as usual....

so that day was a sundau morning and yeah we were going to San Francisco...
john, lilian, caroline, my sis and i all sit in john's car and he was driving.....
set out at around 10am.... takes 30-45 minutes to get to SF from my place.... but john got lost and had to make a few detour.... luckily US road system is not like malaysia's, the road here are so much straighter and there are clear signs everywhere...... so john with the ever so much help from lilian, :P, got back on track and found the way to Fishermans Wharf.....
at first, john scared no parking space at Pier 39, so he parked at a place nearby, that was wat he thought.... but actually we were still a few miles away from Pier 39, super far.... as that was my 4th time going to Pier 39, i knew it was a long walk from our car... so i keep telling them we have to walk super far, lilian agreed, and after 10 minutes of walking, john ran back to get the car and came picked us up.... hahaha.. kelian him nia... anyway, it was a good thing cuz if we were to walk, had to walk for 45 minutes, give or take..... so finally we parked at a parking complex just opposite Pier 39.... there were so many cars that only the rooftop had space left....

so we walked to the pier and went to see the sealions first..... the first time i see the sealions i preety excited.... after awhile, they are just some fat ass-lazy-loud crying animal which sleeps the whole day at the dock.... took pictures of Alchatraz

Me, me sis and caroline. sealion at the back~~

Alchatraz at the back
and then went to a candy store at the pier...
they have so many types of candy there.... there were also snake shaped bubble gum, 1 meter ruler bubble gum and many other interesting stuff.... but they are all overpriced... i.e. the bubble gum cost 5bucks.. after that we went to a magnet store....

CAndy store~~ Look at the all the types of candy!

Magnet shop~~ All the magnets on the wall

as we continue walking, we pass a pearl shop. john then decided to buy caroline a pearl. for 15 bucks, you can choose a shell, oyster or watever the thing that has pearl in it is called, and the worker will open the shell for u and retrieve the pearl for you. so caroline chose one and bfr the asian aunty worker open the shell, she made us do a little welcoming ceremony for the pearl cuz she said it was brought fresh from Hawaii.... i forgot liau wat we have to do but i remmeber at the end we said aloha..very fei wan... hahaha.. so after she opened the shell, clean it with salt and polish it, she asked if caroline wanna make it into a necklace, ring or ear ring.... caroline said she like necklace so the aunty showed her a few shapes of ornaments to hold the pearl... when caroline ask how much are the ornaments, the aunty dont want tell but she said to pick the favourite ornament first.....so she picked one and the aunty say is US$85, if i can remmeber correctly... the aunty say the ornament is made of white-gold and she say that price is the cheapest you can get from anywhere...... but then john said that back in Malaysia is cheaper to make a pearl necklace but the aunty disagree cuz she said that she come from Hong Kong....
i guess the aunty do not know about or have never been to Malaysia cuz in Malaysia,we sell 3 movies for 10 ringgit ....hahahaha.... in the end, caroline end up with the pearl only....
after that we went to the chocolate store, Ghiradelli... Ghiradelli is one the best chocolate in the world....

The pearl~~

at lunch time, john treat us to lunch at Crab House which is located at Pier 39 also..... fooooo!, freking expensive!! 2 and a half crabs for 4 ppl cost US$100 bucks + tax !!! luckily they the crabs were enough to make them full.....
well, as for me who doesnt eat crabs, i ate Hawaiian fish fillet which cost 17 bucks.....

Lunch crab~~ but i dint eat crab! hahahaha

after lunch, we went out of Pier 39 and walk around Fishermans Wharf.... the were tons of ppl walking the street.... all around there were souvenir shops, restaurants, food stands, ferry services to tour around SF or to go Alchatraz, side-walk shows like beat-boxing, musicians, ppl who dressed and paint themselves like robots, and many more....all in all, it was very happenning at Firshermans Wharf, as usual.....

Fishermans Wharf

John, God bless him, wanted to bring me to Hooters! and thank God, there is one in Fishermans Wharf... so we all went there for a drink....for those who do not know what Hooters is, allow me to explain.... Hooters is a restaurant...... sounds normal??
NO!! all the waitresses there have boobs this big(now imagine me showing you how big they are) and they wear xtra small singlet and short-till-cant-short hot pants that have cutting at the sides so they look abit like underwear that shows their entire leg....... John said that the minimum breats size to work there is 36. (n-n) everything there in Hooters is big: the food, drinks and you know wat else....... :P I LOVE USA!!
when i walked in through the door and saw the waitresses, i felt my face burning hot... luckily blood dint flow out of my nose..! so we sat at a table and a blondie served us.... they ordered beer but i have to drink coke cuz the legal age to drink alcohol, go casino, stripclub, etc is 21 years old... damn sucks!
then John asked the waitress to take a picture with me! she said ok and asked another waitress to take picture along.... so i got one at each of my side... V <----- (the peace sign) my sis and caroline took picture with them as well...... when the bill came, the blondie said she charge 5 bucks for a picture... so john had to pay her 10 bucks for the 2 picture taken... makafulat~~!!! Freaking unbelievable!! after we left Hooters, we keep calling her dumb blonde... partly beh syiok and also cuz she is dumb..... keep asking stupid question about the walkie talkie we had and when asked her how to get to Golden Gate Bridge, she point at the map as if we do not know how to read a map.....

Holy Sweeeet~~~ I love USA

anyway, at 4pm, after Hooters we walked back to the parking complex as we were going to Golden Gate Bridge next..... when we reach at the car, john could not unlock the car using the remote control... so we thought the battery at the remote control died.... so he used the key to unlock the car but the alarm didnt go off.. so we suspected john left the lights on and caused the car battery to die and our worse was confirm when he tried to start the car but couldnt....! at that point everyone was like 'wat the hell!!' ..... we thought the trip was over becuase of that inciddent..... after thinking ways to rescue the day, john went to look for someone to jump start the car... after 10 minutes he came back with a couple from LA driving a pickup truck and jump start the car... thank God it worked! and thank God again that his car is hybrid and the battery recharge when on the road so we dint have to go to a workshop.... - or does every car recharge its own battery when driving?-

with the help of a map and my memory, we manage to reach Golden Gate Bridge... spend half an hour there taking pictures, walking the bridge(for 10 minutes nia) and going to toilet..... after that we drove to Lombard Street and drove down the crooked street.... :D after that we went to China Town and walked around.... not that hectic at night but the last time i went to China Town in the morning, it was packed and really looked and you felt like being in a town in China... i guess there is where the name China Town comes from.... hahahaha..... just off China Town there is a street where there are alot of stripclub, porn cinema and other dirty stuff. After having dinner at a Chinese restaurant in China Town(we had roasted duck, 'kampo kai'(not nice),roasted pork(not nice) and vegie), we went back home and that was the end of our trip to San Francisco....

Those views are surely breath-taking and those who own their very own car, may that be a brand new one or perhaps one of the cars from used cars San Francisco lots, would not even need to think of the time since they could travel whenever they wish.
